Concealed Carry Optic

Concealed carry optic yes or no if yes, what do you recommend for a 365?

No for me. I’m not opposed, just so used to irons. I’d have to do some training with an optic to get confident.

I use a Holosun red dot on each of my concealed carry handguns and on my other handguns as well. Work great.

I have Holosun 507K X2’s on each of my P365XL’s. Small enough to remain concealed, but nice to have should someone break into my house during the night!.

I will say that battery life on any of the RDS’s is not very great, but it’s a small price for surety of location…But, on the flip-side, I really like the accuracy that the red-dot provides, especially in lower-light situations!

Yes! But only because my arms aren’t long enough for me to use my sights any longer. Lost my near vision at about 50 and had to resort to the red dot. It will happen to almost all of us and the red dot will keep you in the game. I use the sig zero on my 365 xl. Made every pistol I own red dot that are able to accept them. I will convert the rest later. Definitely a learning curve.

+1 on the Holosun. I’m using a couple of them and have no complaints so far.

I just put my first optic ever on a handgun last week. This is after 12yrs of shooting compacts. I currently operate a p365 hybrid: slide from a P365x and a grip from a standard p365 (my other p365 is the reverse, of course). I installed the romeozero micro in 6 MOA since this is about quick acquisition and shots on target. The first couple of magazines weren’t pretty and garnered some ridicule from the guys watching. But within 150rds I had shrunk my group size to half of my normal average grouping with perhaps 5 of the 10 rounds touching at 10yrs. I was very pleased. The romeozero battery location on the bottom of the optic is kind of ridiculous but I have added a daily glance at the sight into my routine and for now I figure replacing the battery every month or two is an excellent reminder to force some range time to resight the optic (which was super simple).

I’m not super knowledgeable on this topic, but I do like a red dot. Biggest thing for me is a red dot that you don’t have to remove in order to replace the battery!

No for me, but a good fiber optic site for me.
Figure for a CC gun if you have to use it and in the heat of the moment you more than likely will not be looking for an optic.
Also my CC guns do not have a safety because seconds count if you need it for self defense.
