I really wanted the new CX bullets to shoot well. So far none of my rifles or friends rifles have had success shooting this bullet accurately. 300 WSM 6.5 PRC and 7 PRC factory ammo was not impressive to shoot. Does anyone reload these bullets with success? If so what caliber and barrel twist are you using?
Haven’t tried handloads, but I couldn’t get the factory CX to group well at all. Seems like I’ve heard that pretty consistently from people that have tried the factory stuff.

Same here, never impressed with factory. To be fair, I’ve never been wowed by any Hornady factory ammo with any of their bullets. Federal and custom ammo makers on the other hand can make the Hornady bullets work (but never tried the CX bullet)
Jim showed good results with his 280AI and CX. Little Crow got them to work in all of his 7mm caliber rifles in his showdown.
The Hornady Outfitter load in 6.5CM was terrible for me and I tried loading the 130s and those were bad as well. Probably could play around with them a little more but I don’t feel like wasting powder when I know other bullets shoot way better. Now I’m stuck with about half a box left that’s going to sit for a while
