Drew an Antelope tag for Wyoming 52-2

Anyone familiar with this area? This will be my first antelope hunt and first hunt in Wyoming. We may go the 3rd week of September, which I believe is historically the peak rut. Still need confirm the dates.

I love hunting the goats, I’ve sworn off Wyoming though because of the landowner/public land game. Hopefully things are better since those boys fought the system & won. It is a fun & unique hunt, hope you have a great time.

Just got back from our pronghorn hunt in Wyoming. We brought a couple good goats home. We did find it difficult to stalk them. Most were in large groups and all those eyes would spot you quick. It was hard to close the gap more than 300 yards. We lucked out on my friend’s goat. He laying down about 100 yards out trying to get out of the wind, but mine was 450 yards.

The bucks were doing a LOT of chasing!

Here is mine

Here is my friend’s pronghorn

Congrats on then hunt and harvest. Very good shot at 450 yards, small target. I see it was a Fierce rifle, which one and what caliber?

Thanks.

It’s the carbon rogue in 280 AI. Shoots very well with custom loads. I can get a 1/2 MOA 5 shot group. It might shoot better, but I probably don’t.

Congratulations, thanks for sharing.
