What’s y’all’s favorite EDC knife? I’m carrying the Benchmade Adira mini and just ordered a MKC Jackstone I’m super excited to receive.
I use all my EDC for EVERYTHING boxes, the occasional animal everything!
Would like to hear what you guys are doing for this.
My knives cost $20 from a gas station, but my teenage son has many dozens of fancy knives. It’s pretty much the only thing he spends money on.
He says his favorite is the Benchmade Bugout.
I second the Benchmade Bugout! I have both the mini and the full size. They are very light and the blade steel is sharp and stays sharp for a good while. I use them everyday for 6 years.
I have two that I carry depending on use-case:
- Axial Shift 2.0 OTF
- Hogue K320A Automatic Tactical Folder
Will have to look into these, yeah I’m the same way only spending money on guns, knives and reloading supplies haha.
Just picked up this
MKC Hellgate
oh hell yeah! MKC makes some sweet tools!!!
Agree MKC makes some awesome blades, but not EDC priced. For every day, I carry a Honey Badger large. Takes a decent edge, does what I need it to do, and if break one or loose it I don’t get heart palpitations.
That is definitely true. I have had my eye on a few of the MKC products, but the price-point is outside my wallet’s boundary (at least for now).
Perhaps in the future… ![]()
Oh man the thought of losing one of the MKC gives me night sweats haha. Yeah I still carry a Kershaw OSO sweet. Bought it 3 or 4 years ago for $50
Leatherman signal here. There’s a knife in it that gets used sometimes.
Just bought the Worksharp belt sharpener and oh my, was able to sharpen my magnacut blade all the way down to the wife’s kitchen knives and I’m talking hair splitting sharp. Crazy you can get professional sharpness for $80. It comes with tons of extra belts too!
I carry a Benchmade Vector and its a really do it all tough knife. It’s a bit thick so if I need a smaller edc, I go with my SOG Terminus, which for like $50 is the best knife per dollar I’ve ever had
Just got the benchmade psk with magacut and really liking it. Dress is the osborne carbon
SOG Terminus is a great choice. I used to carry a Kershaw Skyline XL. Loved that knife, but forgot it was in my pocket one day when I went to the airport.
I have carried a benchmade griptilian for the past few years. Love it.
@Bear28 Oh man that Benchmade mini Adira looks really awesome! How do you like it?
Man I love it, since picking it up it’s cleaned and deboned 2 elk! Still on factory edge!! It’s nice I mean super nice!
Switched over to carrying the Kershaw Oso Sweet(have had it going on 4 years)so I don’t mess up my Gucci knife haha.
Once my MKC Jackstone or MKC Wargoat comes in I’ll be switching to one of those for carrying due to the better steel and my Kershaw is grinding when closing.
I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up another Mini Adira
My favorite is Leatherman knives/tools. I love the quality and they are fairly inexpensive. For everyday carry, right now I have a Mossy Oak in my pocket. Besides those, I have many Bokers, Benchmark, CRKT, BUCK, COLD STEEL, SOG, Spyderco,And many more custome-made knives I purchased from ETSY. I also collect machetes, hatchets, Kukri, Bowie knives.
I have included a few samples of what I have. The first image is one of a kind dagger by J. Rigney, the axes are all custom made from a metalsmith in E. Europe and the rest are from US, far east…:
These are my EDC. Benchmade Autocrat and Shadow Systems CR920P 9mm. Why take a knife to a gun fight.
I have 2 Benchmades. There are more expensive but I really like my assisted open and warranty. I have sent both twic to be sent in to be sharpened/re-dedge for free.
Man those hatchets are awesome!!
