Found my load on first attempt

So I did a 20 shot test of:
H4350 @42gr
Sierra Game King 130gr
Federal Premium Gold Small primers
Once fired federal brass

20 shot results:
2871ft/sec
SD 7.3
ES 26.6
.56 group

Custom Aero Solus
Banish 30v1 with break
Ultradyne picatinny chassis
Arken EP5 7-35

Can’t find a good load for the 7 PRC yet, but this one make me feel pretty good

First 5 shots were .22". I was a little shook by that because I had been getting horrible result on my 7prc. I thought I was having an off day.

What caliber?

I had that happen with my 300WM H4831sc and 180g TSX. First test load .58 moa 2930 fps super low sd and es.

Congrats its a good feeling!

Lol, forgot to include that. 6.5 Creedmoor

Nice ive never shot one. Congrats again happy for you.

Actually all you had to do was use Jim’s recipe.

Different gun, different chamber.

his was a 6.5cm Sig Cross. I have one just like it

Nice! Can’t complain about a result like that!

Those are great numbers for that load and the velocity out a 6.5 Creed is awesome.

How long is the barrel

22". Banish 30 V1 is 9" and the break is an additional 1.5"

The 7PRC is proving to be far more challenging. I have already tried multiple loads. I know that my gun shoots .75-.8 groups with Factory Federal 175 Eldx and pushed 2950. I’m now getting anywhere from .8 to 2" groups (since moving to 20 shot tests).

I know the Eldx is not supposed to be jump sensitive and I have had zero trouble loading even with the over spec COAL. Should I try reducing the COAL and lowering the powder a grain? Any thoughts?

What is your end use of the 7 PRC going to be, Hunting or Target?

End use is Hunting

Finally finished getting all my first pass of Hornady 7 PRC shot today. Junk Amazon bipod, old worn out Cabela’s rear bag on a less than ideal shooting bench in 100 degree temps and shot a 3/4” 10 shot group. Now the fun begins.
