Hey, we just launched our recoil pad for the Sig Cross. I’d be glad to send you one for FREE if you’d be willing to post a pic online once you get it to let others know. There’s a Sig Cross Owner’s Group on Facebook that we’d especially love to have someone post in.
Just use coupon code sigcrossplus and it’ll make it 100% free.
I had previously posted my Fierce Carbon Rogue and Fierce Mountain Reaper both with Backstops. I have a Wolf 0124 Backstop that I don’t know what it goes on. I was buying and swapping guns, so I don’t remember what it was on.
I’d love to have one! Working on getting the .300 WinMag sawtooth right now to add a 2nd cross to my collection. As soon as it gets delivered I’ll spread the word.
Just got the notice my Backstop for the Sig Cross had Shipped. Might want to look at your SKU number for the Sig Cross Backstop. A55 looks a whole lot like ASS
Haha. The sku actually IS ass . We wrote it as a55 to hide it a little. We have so many skus now that we have to take all the short animal names. It’s also fitting because designing a pad for that rifle was tough. You might even say it was a pain in the a55
I think the Cross is still one of my favorite setups. Just so easy to pack up and take with me for some low round count mountain shooting / hunting. Caliber changes are even easier now that Proof has their kits w/ the barrel extension already installed. I have a 6.5CM + 308win carbon barrel setup and get 1/2 moa with hand loads.
That said - I have your recoil pad on my Seekins HIT Pro + Aero Solus. Both work great and made a noticeable improvement especially when shooting 308.
Look forward to trying this kit and posting some pics.
I have had a backstop pad on my Sig Cross since they, the backstop, first came out. I can’t remember what it was designed for, but fit and works great.
Just got mine in the mail today. One thing to note that may just effect mine. @backfire
There are some small ridges from the printing process that created a sticky point for the spring mechanism. They created enough of a lip for my button to get hung up on. Little bit of sanding to smooth out those ridges flat fixed this and now it works like intended.
Thank you, Brandon. Our engineer worked on that today so future pads will not have this issue. Thank you for letting us know.
If it still causes any issues for you, get another free one in a couple weeks with the fix.
We often find these issues with a new pad design. We get it working perfectly on our one rifle but we never really know what the tolerance is for each of the factory parts on other rifles. Thanks for the patience.
Received mine yesterday as well, thank you very much Jim! I had the same sticky spot as Brandon, but it was a super quick and easy fix. I love how it looks on the Cross. Thanks again Jim, really nice of you.
FYI Mine was shipped on Feb 10th USPS and it still has not arrived. It Arrived in Shreveport LA. on the 16th. As of today it says “In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late”. Who knows when it will arrive. I am sending Elon and the DOGE to the USPS.
