Hammer Hunter 124Gr 6.5 Creedmoor a Winner

Went out and tested some of the above and winner winner chicken dinner. Shooting out of my Howa 1500 Hunter I am get sub MOA and sub 1/2" if I do my part. Velocity was 2789 fps. I have seen videos on the ballistics gel and these will be my Oklahoma white tail rounds. I may massage the load a little. Also, had really good results my reloaded 127 Gr Barnes LRX bullet. All sub MOA. I had not success with the Federal Premium Barnes TSX, 6.5mm Creedmoor, Triple-Shock X HP, 130 Grain. Just illustrates how finicky a rifle can be.

I want to do some more testing and hopefully on some hogs. But right now HH seem to live up to their reputation.

Excellent. Seem to hear lots of good about those bullets. I’m overdue for trying them.

It is amazing how much of a difference bullets and powder measurement consistency really makes. Yesterday i went out with my 6.5. Before shooting my reloads i shot two fouling shots (i had just cleaned it) with the cheapest factory ammo i have and they were 4 inches apart. I then shot my first group of 10 and is was a .658" group.

What powder and how much?
