I have been excited since shooting my new Tikka Ace Game in 6.5 and have been steadily improving. Then I finally got my TBAC Ultra 9 CB 6.5 and was excited to try it out. I first shot two 5-shot groups without the suppressor (almost1 MOA in both groups), then I added the suppressor and the next two 5-shot groups were noticeably worse (probably 2 MOA). Speaking with a more experienced shooter at the range we checked to make sure nothing was loose. He thinks I will need to work on load development to get this dialed in. He had never heard of anyone adding a suppressor and shooting worse.
I went to the range yesterday and things have improved. Some facts I hadn’t shared is that it was over 95 degrees that day and I was shooting at a new range. Hopefully the fault lies with me and not the equipment.
