It wasn’t without some drama i guess the version that almost made it through only eliminated the tax, and v rumors abound with industry shenanigans!

Senate is quite divided and easy for just one person to screw things up

It would make the suppressor industry explode even more. I hope it makes it no real logical reason suppressors have to regulated so much.
The good news, they’ve added short barrel rifles and short barrel shotguns to the list of things to come off of the NFA in the latest version of this.
The bad news, they’ve added language to start selling off a significant portion of federal game lands.

Looks like the Senate parliamentarian kicked it out of the bill now.
Is that even within the scope of the parliamentarians authority?
Something fishy about that.
Good news is it cant be a regulation in the senate and a tax in the court.
I remember someone saying this was somewhat expected.
The question is what is the best way to rid the populace of this unconstitutional “nfa”
Would be better by act of congress or by supreme court ruling?

Call your senators and tell them to. Vote no on three watered down version of the BBB.

Looks like the latest development is they’ve been able to get rid of the $200 tax stamp for cans, sbr’s, and aows. But it does stay in place for machine guns.
But you still got to go through the whole registration process, application process

The registration is solely for the purpose of tracking the tax. ?
I would assume it has to go back to the house since whatever version that the Senate is going to pass is different from what the house passed.
But definitely not an expert in these matters
I’m calling my house rep and telling him to vote no on the whole damn thing. The senate parliamentarian gutted the bill not just the nfa portion but also the snap / medicare for illeagals etc…

SENATE PARLIMENTARIAN NEEDS TO BE BOOTED THE HELL OUT and the ORIGINAL BILL FROM THE HOUSE + THE FULL ORIGINAL TEXT OF THE SHORT AND HPA ACTS MUST BE ADDED … THEN VOTED ON!!!

The senate Republicans ignored the parliamentarian on crenshaws transgega bill, but they refused to show up for the gun owners.
The uni- party is real. The executive branch ( JD Vance) could have stepped in for us but he didn’t
He should cancel any plans he has for v2028 as far as I’m concerned.
