Hello from Kentucky

Hello all.

I’m new here but have been following Jim’s podcasts and shows for years now. Discovered him on his photo podcast probably about 7 or 8 years ago now (and even bought the rGPS app years ago.)

In any case I’m new to hunting but not shooting (prior military and grew up in Texas for my childhood). I’ve always fished but that was the extent of my “hunting” until the last couple of years when the bug set in. I’m hoping to get out on my first hunt this fall assuming time permits (have another baby on the way) but in any case great to meet everyone.

For n op w I’m into rifle hunting and shooting MOA try Lu but I do fling arrows when I get a chance (wife bought me a Mathews Traverse a few Christmases ago). See everyone around and looking to enjoy the community here.

Welcome Tre. I also spent a few years in Texas as a pre-teen. San Antonio.

As a teenager I was addicted to bow hunting and Matthews was always my dream. I don’t really bow hunt any more but I do still love shooting bows.

Yeah I lived in San Antonio from 2001-06 (was stationed there at the time) but I grew up in Houston.

Welcome and you are among friends.

Welcome! Just moved to Kentucky my self. Been here about 2.5 months.

Nice. What part are you in? I’m in Lexington but currently out of the country for work.

Welcome Tre. I grew up shooting and fishing, but I too didn’t take to hunting until after my kids were born. Glad to have you in the community.

North of Lexington. About 40 miles from Cincinnati. The town is called Verona.
