It definitely worked to tighten up the groups. The progression goes middle—> LU—> RU—>RL—>LL. But without the tuner it shoots pretty tight groups anyway. I’ll continue to mess with it.
I’m at a point of starting a new load development again if I want to use my suppressor because it really opened my groups up. I’m going to purchase a tuner like you have. What rifle caliber are you using your tuner on? I’m looking to use it on a 7mm PRC.
This is a 7 SAUM. It’s a girthy barrel too .Seems like it should work for almost any caliber. If I remember they sell them with both 1/2-28 and 5/8-24 threads.
From the pic it doesn’t look like it’s screwed out all the way to me! I had the same issue with Hornady dies in 25-06 and per Hornady 1 and 1/2 threads is sufficient for the seating die! It was the last set of Hornady dies I bought and I won’t ever buy them again!
I purchased the tuner and it made a very good improvement, tightened my groups up to where I’m happy now. Thanks for the information.
