@backfire One of your last points on Spoomer’s Pod was about having the right platform for a magnum cartridge, usually one that is “stout” enough. I know your chassis will be light, but will it be, or can it be made to be, stout enough?
I think the most important thing is the barrel contour for magnums. The chassis will take the force no problem. In fact, I even put in an extra beefy .3” wall for the recoil lug to butt up against.
As you might expect with my obsession over recoil, we’re doing a lot to make this gun handle recoil better than anything out there.
But, it’s also light. If you have a very thick barrel contour and a 26” barrel, it’s likely going to be an odd balance. And if you’re shooting with no brake or suppressor, a light rifle of any kind will be a terrible experience with a big magnum.
