I appreciate Hornady’s Cam Lock case trimmer coming with all the pilots but having to buy additional Hornady shell holders when I already have Lee and RCBS shell holders is annoying. I’m actually thinking about buying shell holders for all the primary case head diameters and making a rack to keep them all together. Processed around 500 7 IHMSA cases through annealing, sizing, cleaning and drying. Now I’m in a holding pattern as a result of not having a Hornady .473 shell holder. My fault for overlooking it, but still frustrating.
Didn’t realize that was required to use it: that’s good to know.
I will commend them for making all their shell holders internal bore size just slightly larger than a large primer, BUT it’s also frustrating not being able to use my existing RCBS, or Lee shell holders for case trimming.
