Hi everyone,I am a new member making my first post and I am enjoying the experience here. I am having a custom rifle built in 6.5 PRC that will be 98% target use 2% hunting. I am going to purchase a Leupold Mark 5 5x25x56 scope and i would like input on getting an illuminated reticle. Im 61 and my vision is not as sharp as it once was.
Welcome!
Getting an illuminated reticle could definitely help with vision. I’d just make sure it’s the style of illumination where the center dot lights up but not the whole reticle, which may still make it tough to see if there’s too much visual clutter.
Another option would be to get a second focal plane scope. That would allow the reticle to be large and clear no matter what you’re zoomed in to.
Thanks Jim , im new to target style scopes, is there a Leupold reticle you like that is available in an illuminated scope? Id like to stay FFP
