I’m in the market for a 1911 in 10mm. For EDC and hunting sidearm. I’m not worried about concealed carry as i have a Kimber Ultra CDP II 45acp for that. I need a recommendation for a quality, reliable comfortable shooting full size 1911. Preferably less than $3000.00 but more isn’t a deal breaker. I don’t know much if anything about Wilson Combat, Dan Wesson, Colt etc. I’m not sure about lower end Rock Island / Tisas / Girsan… Any 1st hand info is greatly appreciated, I’m looking to purchase in the next couple of weeks for the upcoming Hunting season…also leather vs Kydex holsters.
