Info for the Group....Banish Backcountry from Silencer Central

Seeing so many “hardcore shooters” online trashing the Banish Line of Suppressors and Silencer Central in general. I received my backcountry suppressor with direct thread mount after 153 ish days. Did it maybe take a week longer than a trust should yes but who cares.

My savage 300 wm rifle suppressed is way quieter than it was with the MBM 4 port beast brake. It’s probably a little quieter than the rifle without a break but not crazy crazy quiet. It is a deeper more pleasant sound with the suppressor, in my opinion.

It also kicks harder with the suppressor than it does with the brake, but the recoil is tamed from the stock version of the rifle straight out of the box.

And here is what is important to me, it shoots better suppressed than with a brake. The POI changed less than an inch after the brake was installed, and my kids won’t have hearing loss when we are hunting, and I take a shot before they are done fumbling with their ear pro for 7 minutes.

I know I used a lot of scientific terms in this post, I apologize.

Thanks for sharing your results with the backcountry suppressor. I have one as well but have not used it yet.

Great to hear. Glad you’re liking it.

I have been using a Banish Backcountry for several months. Unlike many online, I have had only great experiences with Silencer Central. The Backcountry is quieter than unsuppressed and tames recoil as well. I still use ear protection at the range as my wife is an audiologist and suppressors still don’t make it hearing safe for more than a shot or two per day (noise exposure is cumulative).

Researching my next suppressor purchase… Their new MeatEater offering is intriguing.

I also have a Banish Backcountry, and it’s excellent I also had to warranty it. They were very friendly and I got it back between 4 and 6 weeks. I’m pleased with it. Yes the MeatEater offering is intriguing

I have the Banish Backcountry as well as the Dead Air Nomad 30, and while the Dead Air is much quieter overall, it is also much heavier too. The Backcountry still takes the “thunder clap” out of each shot. So, it’s loud but not deafening, and for hunting that’s all that is really required. If I could only keep one of these, I honestly would keep the Backcountry just for the weight savings.
