From the looks of it, getting Federal 210 large rifle primers is near impossible these days, in stores or online. As such, I’m left to get what’s available. Just wondering what everyone’s experiences are with the follow: (1) Ginex, (2) Winchester (WLR or OEM), (3) Fiocchi, or (4) CCI BR2?
Or, if anyone knows where I can order some Federal 210 that would be great. I’ve added my name to several “notify when they come available” lists, but I’ve heard nothing for months.
I’ve used the Magnum version of the wlr primers and had good results.
Tried Ginex in one gun, a kimber, and did not have reliable ignition, several failures to fire with it. Have not tried it in any other guns yet.
I do like the Federal though. Do you have an account with ammoseek.com?
For a long time I was looking for the federal primers and not having any luck. I set up a notification on ammoseek and just out of the blue one day got several notifications of in stock primers from different dealers. I think they release them in batches. Therefore, when they became available I bought as much as I was physically able to at the time. Of course, some would say that that leads to worsening Supply/demand.

I’ve never set up an account with ammoseek, but I look there all the time. I’ll see about setting up an account and getting notified. I’ve tried the notification at several retailers and haven’t had luck.
You might want to check with others regarding the Ginex
Yeah I had a lot of trouble with mine, but that Kimber would be a serious Contender for top place if we ever did a thread on cursed rifles. Maybe one day I’ll try some again in a different gun as I finally sold that one.
I have had good results with the CCI BR 2. Currently using them in two different 22-250 loadings with Lapua brass and Varget. Very consistent SD and ES.
