Just watched, holy cow, never heard of the .300 Ruger Compact Magnum. Maybe we should get with Hornady, rename it the .300 Backfire and partner with Fierce and others to do a group buy! I would be in!

It sounds great but when I was watching the video it sounds like the only real difference compared to the WSM is the non-rebated rim. I have never had a feed issue in my .300wsm Christensen Ridgeline FFT. It has a 20” barrel and does everything I want it to with the right amount of energy down range. I like the idea of a full size rim (as opposed to using a .308/.30-06 sized) but… I have no practical reason to own a RCM when there are already plenty of WSMs out there. Now, if it was named .300 Backfire, well… I just might have to get in on that.
Agreed, had a Browning in .300 WSM, 3,500 FP of energy in a short action was awesome, but I thought it was going obsolete and sold it. I may have to revisit that decision. It flattened bear and whitetail. I would buy a Carbon Rogue in that caliber tonight it they offered it.
