LOCTITE vs VIBRA-TITE

Jim first I want to say thanks for putting out great informative information for the hunting and shooting community.
I have been following you on YouTube for sometime now and looking forward to how this Backfire Brotherhood grows!

What is all your thoughts on using thread sealants on on rifle scopes and accessories?
I have used LOCTITE but it hardens as it cures and can not hold after the repetitive abuse of shooting.
I have switched to Vibra-tite as they claim it does not harden and holds up the the abuse of shooting.
Does anyone else have any experience with these thread sealants on your rifles?

Interesting. I have never tried (or even heard of) vibra-tite. I’ll check it out. I only use loctite on the bottoms of the rings but not the tops.

Just remember that any liquid is going to make your torque driver lie to you and it’s easy to go over the torque spec on screws if you have a lubricant in there, so go on the lighter side for your torque settings on your screw driver.
