Looking for powder selection advise

Hi everyone looking into starting to reload more cartridges, namely .223, .243 and 6.5 Creedmore. I like Jim’s philosophy of less powders is better so I’m wondering if I can get away with just one powder for these cartridges or if it will be too much compromise and using a different powders will get much better results. Let me know your thoughts and experiences. Cheers

h4350 and Varget. You could technically just use varget but it wouldn’t be optimal for the 6.5 creedmoor except for lighter bullets like 120s.

I’ve used both H4350 & Reloader 16

They are very similar in regards to burn rate. I like R-16 better. you get a little bit of extra speed with R-16. But H4350 is a little more cleaner, not leaving as much residue behind.

For the 223 I had really good luck with H4895. Also tried Xbr 8208, but didn’t group as well for me.

H3450 or Varget is the easy button for the creedmoor.

Haven’t reloaded for .243

I just found out something very interesting, well to me at least. Here in Australia I’ve never seen Varget or H4350 powder. I was going to ask if anyone had ever used ADI powders which are absolutely everywhere in Australia, as I planned to use an equivalent ADI powder. It turns out all the Hodgdon extreme powders including Varget and H4350 are made in Australia by a company that was formerly ADI and they are sold here branded as ADI ar2208 and ar2209 respectively. This will certainly make my reloading easier
