Looking for Trigger Recommendations

My Bergara Crest came with a Bergara single stage trigger and since I’ve been on 2 stage triggers, I don’t really like single stage any more. That said, I have never replaced a bolt action trigger (I have on my ARs and like Geisele) so I am not sure what to really look for other than it being a 2 stage. I am looking at a Bix N Andy, Triggertech and Timney, but I am not really sure what a $175 offers VS a $375 trigger.

What I could really use is recommendations for brand and features that make the most sense for a western hunting rifle. Perferably a trigger that is ajustable from at least 1.5lbs (lighter is OK too).

Thanks

I really like the TriggerTech. No creep, extremely crisp break, and I shoot better with them.

Which one? How does the Special stack up to Diamond? How does the TT do in weather - I have seen a complaint that they can hang. Thank you.

I use this one Remington 700 Two-Stage Trigger // TriggerTech
I haven’t had any trouble at all with weather or hanging up. I have them on 5 AR’s and 4 Remington 700’s

I don’t think there’s a difference in TT Diamond vs Special as long as you don’t want to adjust it to an extremely light pull weight. Someone on sniper’s hide did a writep on it a while back.

The Timney two-stage is fine, I have it on one of my rifles.

I’m with Patrick on this . I have the same trigger on my begara 7 prc and it is a pleasure to shoot. Anyone who shoots it comments on how they love the trigger. Smooth and very crisp.

To me personally, there are only the minutest differences between those three brands. All feel so good that I couldn’t imagine picking by brand.

For a hunting trigger that I’ll usually set at around 1.9 lbs, I just don’t think the crazy priced ones are worth it. For a competition rifle, I can see one of the more expensive ones just to go lower in weight.

I’m with you on the two stage though. Love it for hunting.
