Low power scope on old rifle

Jim,

I am looking to put a budget friendly LPVO on an old 30-30. Gun already has a picatinny rail on it. I believe I have watched all your scope videos and read your opinions. However, I don’t recall you recommending any low power ones. Would like it to go down to 1 or 2 power.

Personally I’d be looking at one of the lpvo options from Vortex or maybe Trijicon.

With older rifles like that, as well as something like a Ruger number one, I have found the big thing you need to look out for is needing generous eye relief.

You might also check the 1-6 LPVO options from Vector optics. They are cheap and decent.
