Afternoon all. Jim you at one point recommended Frankford Arsenal M press. Mine has been fine for intermittent use. But I got a new redding FL sizing die for 7prc thinking that would be an improvement over the hornady I let my dad keep when I took the reloading supplies to my new place. Well after 2 stuck cases in the redding die back to back im ready to send it back. But I’ve bent the shell holder plate on the Mpress. Any recommendations for parts? I can try contacting frankford but I feel this is likely a me problem as the press worked just fine prior to the die switch… or do you have another recommendation for presses? without spending 419 money. This is my second issue with the shell plate holder. The first time was a factory defect and frankford at that time replaced the press. (2 years ago)
Dang. That stinks. I’ve never had that issue.
I’m honestly not sure what else to recommend. Maybe the Forster Coax? I haven’t owned one but I know a lot of people love it and it uses traditional shell holders.
I’ve got a Co-ax that is three maybe four years old. It does not use shell holders. It has its own set of Jaws to hold the shells that you can adjust for different shell sizes.
I’ve definitely enjoyed using it
Good info. Here I am putting out falsehoods ![]()
Maybe a dumb question, but I use the same press with the same dies on my 7prc reloads. I have reloaded several hundred with no issues. The dumb question are you lubing the brass before you size it? I rub the lube on every case.
I used one shot spray lube which is the lube Ive been running for awhile.
For what it’s worth one shot didn’t work for me so I switched to Redding imperial sizing wax.
Im going to try switching lube as maybe that is part of the problem. However ive got to give Frankford Arsenal massive props. I contacted them about replacement parts and they are sending me a new press. Can’t argue with that level of customer support/service.
I have had the same problem with my mpress .Frankfort arsenal is awesome about their customer service. Give them a call. They’ll probably send you a brand new press. They did it for me.
