I’m headed to Alaska on Tuesday. Like normal, I had aspirations all year of having my gun chosen way in advance, but I just finished building it today and loading up some ammo.
I’m doing my load development the day before I leave, so hope it goes okay. I’m trying the 168 Berger VLD hunting, and also the 175 Berger Elite Hunter. It’s a 21" barrel, but I’m hoping I can get something like 2800fps. I custom Cerakoted the barrel to match the accent pieces on the chassis.
We’re going in with Arrowhead as our pilot. They’ll drop me and Garrett off in the middle of the tundra north of the Arctic Circle and we’re completely on our own for 10 days to hunt caribou. Wish me luck.
I won’t be able to access Backfire Plus for two weeks, so sorry that I’ll be quiet on the forums. I’m continuing to fix all the Plus courses today. I think by the end of the day I’ll have all the videos fixed. I’m getting close.
