I’m new to Backfire+ but I’ve been watching the You Tube channel so having a dedicated site of like minded individuals is a worth our time, investment, and openness.
I’m relatively new firearms so my question concerns the Sig Cross 6.5 18" I own but being Sig fan (with 12 in my safe) I’m looking at the new Sig Cross / Proof Sawtooth with a 24" barrel.
Has anyone considered upgrading from the stock Cross 6.5 to the Proof Sawtooth in 6.5 PRC?
Did you do it?
Was it worth your expense?
If you could get a mulligan would you do it again?
Thank you for starting the conversation and being a rookie, I’ll be a good listener.
I love the Sig Cross. Great platform. The sawtooth version shoots even better with the Proof barrel and increased weight, and arca rail.
I haven’t shot one in 6.5 PRC, though. I’ve only shot the 300 PRC and the 7 PRC.
I do see that you can get a proof prefit for the Sig cross for $1000. You could get that barrel and just pop it on a regular Sig cross. You’d just be missing out on the arca rail and the few other little changes.
I’ve searched both the Sig and Proof websites and I haven’t found the Proof CF barrel in 6.5 CM being available. I sent a request to Sig over this weekend and I’m waiting for their reply so would you have a link to share? I’ll search on Tuesday as I’ll be watching our mutual friends inauguration. All the best.
