Looking at all the new cartridges coming out do you think they will be coming out with a 6.5 back country to challenge the 6.5 creedmore with a short barrel?
I’m sure they’ll do every caliber in a backcountry but I don’t know of any release coming imminently.
Just listened to this week’s Big Game Hunting Podcast. The guest said he is currently involved in testing a new 25 Caliber offering with rather high velocities.
We will probably hear about it at SHOT.
He did not mention if it involves a non-traditional case.
Looks like the new cartridge is the 25 RPM. It’s Weatherby’s 6.5 RPM necked down to 25 cal. Saw a Facebook post about it.
That makes sense. They are establishing themselves as the dominant 25 caliber rifle maker. They’re pretty much the only source of 257 weatherby. If you look at Sportsman’s they are neck and neck with Savage for 25-06. I believe they are making a 25 creedmoor?
If they let someone else come up with a new PRC, backcountry, etc, that’s just going to take away from them.
Beating them to the punch.
