New offerings in 6.8 Western

This kind of came out of nowhere, but it looks like there’s new offerings for the 6.8 Western.

Savage making 8 different rifles and Peterson joining ADG with quality brass.

Good to see support and new offerings in this great cartridge

And I thought the 6.8 western was like Covid… it was here now not so much… I think it will eventually die unless Browning can get the other ammo manufacturers to get on board making medicine for the rifles

I agree. I want a 6.8 western, but I don’t reload yet and the current ammo offerings are a turn off.

This is great news! I’ve hunted extensively with 6.8w the past two seasons and really enjoy it. I hand load in adg brass but it’s expensive stuff. The introduction of Peterson brass is huge and will allow the boutique ammo makers to produce higher quality ammo than they have been in Winchester brass.

I’m still bouncing between building a 6.8 or a 7mmPRC - .280 AI

I like the idea of having less recoil, since I’m not going to be shooting beyond 600 yards - the 6.8 will do everything I’ll ever need. (and use less powder - a real bonus).
