I have been reloading a couple of months now. Guess I stumbled onto a great load for 6.5prc. with 143gr ELDX. The target was from 100 yards, and was six rounds. I also included the Garmin results.
The Hornady Precision Hunter Averaged 2756.4fps with a STD Dev of 13.1fps
The Berger Elite Hunter 140gr Match Grade Averaged 2737.7fps with a STD Dev of 74.2fps
I had been buying Hornady 143gr ELDX and reloading the brass. I bought some Federal Terminal Ascent, and several boxes of Berger’s. So I noticed the Berger’s were loaded in Lapua brass, so I decided to load 50 rounds of the Lapua. I think that is part of the success to this load.
When I started reloading I bought everything that Jim recommended. Great place to start. So the press is single stage so I de-primed 50, cleaned 50, sized 50 to 2/1000 bump.
The fired case length generally was 2.0215. I trimmed to 2.015
Ogive is 1.654
Based on the Hornady Modified case gauge distance to lands is 2.343 this is on my Seekins Slam.
Bullet set to 2.325
Powder 57.1gr H1000
