New reloader looking for lead data

Im going to load for my 6.5prc. Im planning on using Nosler 142g accubond and Staball HD. Any ifo would be appreciated

Well

Nosler’s load data site does not list a load with that powder for that particular bullet. However, the load data for all of the 140 and 142 grain bullets are the same. If you look at Hodgdon’s website, they do list a load with the 140 grain ballistic tip and staball HD. So if you believe like nosler, that should work for the bullet you’re looking at. Of course recommendations are always to start low and work up

Perfect thanks so much.

I load that cartridge with that powder and for the high pressure you get the velocity is not impressive.
The accuracy is golden very consistent, but high pressure for low velocity

Any experience with N565?

Al I was able to get 2960 fps(same as Hornady precision hunter) with my 2020 waypoint 6.5 prc with 143 eld-x/ 59.8 grns.staball HD sub moa accuracy and below hodgson book max. Should be pretty close to what you’re looking to do. Good luck with your reloading!.

John,
I appreciate the info. I will try that out.

You may try Gordon’s Reloading Tool. I have started using it to help me see which powders give me 100% powder burn. It is not perfect, but it has helped me narrow down powders and save money

Did you find the winning combo?

I would not sweat trying to get maximum velocity if you have a precise and accurate shooting load. Not going to make a difference for the dead critter.

I hope so, a bit more testing on a load i shot today.
