it is hard to find the sako trg ammo to practice… i’m new to reloading after i took your class… i have put similar setup to yours and did some 308…. what would be a good reload (bullet, powder ,… i can use same brass i shot from the sako powerhead) to get similar or better results… thank you….
Yeah, I think us talking up the Sako ammo and there already being a limited supply has caused problems
But I bought five boxes online this morning of the Sako 136gr 6.5 creed ammo
Looks like It might be in stock here
Hey So So shot It today Got It on paper and sited and zeroed this was my first time shooting a long rifle and It was a gas…. This was Paper Hornady Match 140
The upper big target was getting on paper Cold barrel first shots.
The right 4” Lower left was Dialing in Zero
The lower left was agter setting zero and velocity in teh Veracity PH
The was the full set up string with resting to cool a It the barrel was warm for that last bit and the flyer was bad trigger finger I felt It and my Coach said It as I said It at the same time
The large lower was another Cartridge while doing velocity tests on It SBR Controlled chaos
Fun day thanks everyone for your help and guidance on this build
I was plinking 3” targets all afternoon at 200
Johnny, just listened to a Vortex podcast talking about the Barnes TTSX 130gr .308 ammo. Seems like increased velocity compared to the heavier bullets. Have you hunted with this at longer range? Curious if you think this extends the range of your .308?
I haven’t hunted with the130, but I’ve heard him rave about it multiple times. I have hunted with the 150g TTSX out of my .308, and its an absolute hammer on deer.
