I’m curious if anyone as experience using Norma Bondstrike bullets. I’ve ben using ELD-x for a while and I want to try something new and haven’t decided whether I want to try the Normas or an ABLR. I’m shooting a 6.5 creedmoor at antelope, deer, elk, and black bears, anywhere between 50-500 yards.
I haven’t killed anything with bondstrike bullets but I’ve shot them several times.
Both the ABLR and Bondstrike are bonded bullets as I’m sure you already know. They’re tougher for sure but also require more velocity to expand, and in general, bonded bullets are harder to make accurate.
Your creedmoor is going about 2100fps at 500 yards. That’s sufficient to expand the bullet but any slower and you’re in dangerous territory of that bullet not expanding well.
So, if “50-500 yards” is code for “maybe 600 if the shot opportunity is right” then I’d stick with your ELDX.
Other than that, I’d try shooting bondstrike and ABLR and see which your gun likes. I don’t have any info that would say one is better than the other.
