“?” On X or Base Map?

So I’ve always used On X… but looking at the two side by side and the costs, it seems as Base Map might be a better route to go. A big plus is that base map’s Bluetooths with Leica Pro range finding binoculars so that you can drop a point on the map with your rangefinder’s etc.. so what’s your all’s opinion?

I’ve been using gohunt maps and moved back to OnX. They just have all the features and reliability. But I know lots of south and eastern hunters use some of the other apps like hunt stand.

I had OnX at one time. But when I looked at BaseMap for what you get I switched. There’s certainly pros and cons to each but for me when wanting multiple states it was an easy choice going to BaseMap.

I ended up going base map, like the rescue feature/national state land ownership. But the main feature of Bluetoothing with my Leica Pro rangefinders to laser something and put a drop point on the map, like if you shot something a ways away you know have gps to head to it just in case your route there is out of site.

Sad to hear they found that missing hunter in Oregon that was hunt Mt. Hood National forest…. Makes you wonder if he had some kind of satellite tracker etc… have heard the final cause of his death…

My OnX Bluetooth’s to my sig range finder to drop a pin where I range . I’ve used base maps Bluetooth features also and they worked the same when I tried it. I don’t know if they’ve updated it since I’ve used it tho.
