Optics swap for coyotes

I have a Tikka T3X .22-250 for coyotes out at the property.
I was rhinking about getting a new optic for my 6.5CM and putting my Burris Veracity PH on the .22-250
Think thats too much scope for coyotes?
Should i just grab a cheap diamondback or something like that?

I guess it depends on how far you shoot. If you never touch the turret, it would seem to be ever overkill.

Yeah, ive never plinked a coyote farther than 350
Even then, its like 275 max on the norm…

I never bring them.in close, cuz im alone most of the time.

Maybe im just looking for an excuse to buy a new scope LOL

I have Burris Veracity PH on 4 rifles. 3 have the Vortex Impact 4000 range finders. They allow me to range the target then dial the elevation to the range plus having the ballistics of the cartridge. It is always one and done for me. I have it on a 6.5cm. 6.5prc, and a 7prc. the 4th is a Fierce sidewinder in 223 wylde I shoot to 520yards. Coyotes I shoot with a Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 Pro ( for the 18 inch barrel) , with a Pulsar Thermion XP50 Pro.

Sweet. Thanks.
The more i think about it, and the more I look.at new scopes… the more i think, I should just keep this. Its a no-miss.

Cheers

I have a 22-250 and it seems to be dropping like a rock at 400 yards, plus I don’t think the bullet has much of a punch past that, because the twist rate doesn’t stabilize a heavier bullet. I would just put a diamondback tactical on it. If your are prior service your can get a massive discount on GovX.
