Podcast Episode 2 - Zambia Mission

Enjoyed Mancast Episode 2! What type of mission work did parent in laws do in Zambia?

It might be an apple thing, but I can not get the 2nd show.

Neither can I. Anybody help with this?

Ooh. Weird. Episode 2 worked just fine on my iPhone. What exactly is happening? What podcast player are you using? @jeshoffstall @Hornick

They worked on a lot of different things. They helped with building a school, clean water, and served at the local church congregations to help introduce people to Christ.

Jim, I had to re-sign in. Also, of note, the link you share has an extra backslash that causes it not to work. “/mancast” works, “/mancast/” does not work.
Thanks!

@hornick

try this URL. //backfire.tv/feed/mancast

No backslash at the end.

@jeshoffstall Thank you for that info. It works best for me with the backslash at the end, but I’ll add to the instructions page that some podcast players don’t like it. What podcast player are you using?

Very special! We work in over 100 countries in crisis relief including Zambia and work with a mission hospital in Zambia. Great to know.

@backfire , Sorry Jim - I am using Apple’s native podcast player.

After getting loaded for Mancast Episode 1, I went to Episode 2 and it did not automatically download. I entered the special URL again and it loaded and worked fine. Wish somehow they would auto load tho…

That worked. Thank you.

@tchasteen It should auto download for you. What podcast player are you using? I did make some tweaks to the podcast feed that should improve compatibility, so I’m hoping it will fix any issue you’ve had.

Jim, I use the native Apple podcast app too. I’ve been in the mountains this week and when I tried to listen last night to the second episode (because I know it came out on the 13th) it wasn’t there and when I went to “Uplayed Episodes” it said none were available. I’ll use the URL link again since others have indicated that worked for them. I just wanted you to know that it didn’t auto populate for me either. All my other shows on Apple podcast app do but… this is the only show that I have ever used the URL option for so it must have something to do with that?

Apple Podcast is how I have been downloading

Thanks for letting me know. Does seem to be the default apple podcasts app that is having this issue. I would try subscribing to the podcast without the last slash. I’ve updated the instructions on the website now to not use that backslash at the end.

Thanks for your patience guys as I figure this out. I THINK this will solve the issue.
