Just curious what this group would say. I may use this result in a video. What brand would you consider to GENERALLY produce the best quality hunting rifles?
What Inexpensive Brand Generally Produces the Highest Quality Hunting Rifles?
I have different rifles for different game.
For Deer hunting I use a Tikka T3X Lite Veil Wideland in 6.5 Creedmoor with a Swarovski Z3 4x12x50, or a Sako 85 Finnlight in .270 WSM with a Zeiss 3x9x50.
For Hogs I use a Seekins Precision SP-10 in .308 with a IRay Rico MK1 640 35mm.
For Coyotes I use Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 Pro .223 with a Vortex 6.5x20x50 or a Sightmark Wraith 4k MIni.
One brand you might consider if you like Fierce Firearms is Antler Firearms. Antler Firearms, was founded in 2014 under the Fierce Canada name. Our name was changed following a reorganization in order to distinguish ourselves from our American partner Fierce Firearms. Our rifles will now be known as “Antler” . History - AntlerArms
I really like Sako and Sako cloned actions and I really fell in love with the the improvements that were made with the Antler Firearms over the Sako 85. Just my thoughts
Any reason or comments on the Seekins Precision SP-10 in .308? Don’t think I have ever seen any comments on Seekins on Backfire. It has a lifetime transferable warranty and guaranteed sub MOA. I love mine and it does shoot sub MOA. Little picky on ammo.
Maybe I read wrong, but I saw, “What inexpensive Brand…” Somewhat subjective, but in my mind that means a rifle from the line can be had for sub $1k. Fierce and the Springfield Waypoint are great, but not in that price range.
@backfire Can you clarify if this was supposed to be:
a) favorite inexpensive hunting rifle brand that is also known for quality
b) favorite hunting rifle brand that is known for quality
The reason I’m wanting clarification is because your first selection in your poll it asks “What Inexpensive Brand Generally Produces the Highest Quality Hunting Rifles?” but in the title of this post it is asking “What brand would you consider to GENERALLY produce the best quality hunting rifles?”
By the time I read the last thread, I got confused. Are we voting for an “inexpensive” and “reliable” gun/rifle under a $1000 or are we voting for our best rifle regardless of the cost?
If it is the former, I only have one that falls in that category and it is a Christensen Arms rimfire Ranger.
But, if it is the latter, and for “hunting” then it would be Weatherby mark V 300, Winchester model 70 super grade, and Ruger No 1 single shot. I have others that I like, but they fall under precision shooting category and are not really “hunting” rifles.
