I grabbed some Norma Oryx 156gr bullets for my 6.5CM. Not a real sexy bullet, but I was curious how the projectile would perform in my rifle.
Norma’s online info only shows Norma powders. However, they have a nice chart at the beginning that is a burn rate chart.
Right below Norma 204 ( with relative velocity of 100.9 and relative pressure at 98.9) is Hodgdon 4350 (listed at 100.0 and 94.9).
In the reloading data for the 6.5CM 156gr is a minimum charge of 35.5 and max of 39 using the Norma 204.
Would it be a safe bet to start a load at about 37.0 or 37.5gr of H4350 with this bullet?
I am just trying to make sure I am interpreting everything correctly.
Thank you!
