My daughter took her first white tail today. For the DFW guys, we were out for doe days on Caddo. First kill on public land, you gotta earn it. It was a little guy with a couple nubs, but the dam finally broke. She is hooked now. Double lung, perfect shot at 75 yards. Shot my 243 with a 95 gr SST
Congrats! A moment she’ll never forget.
Congrats, a great day
That’s fantastic!!! A good start to a great adventure…
Congratulations!
That’s awesome! Congratulations to both of you!
Congratulations! So good to get that first deer!
Nice! And Tasty Too!
Awesome, Congrads! Those times & memories spend together are priceless.
Just finished the butchering. Kid kept the tail and is salting it. Looked it up herself as she wanted some memento from the animal.
Congrats man that’s awesome! My doughter is only 6 and just last week came running to my room to tell me the dream she had where she was able to kill her first buck. Waiting 6 more years till she is 12 and able to hunt here in UT is going to be hard for her. Might have to find another state or opportunity that she could hunt earlier.
Congratulations! Awesome job!
Congrats to your daughter Ben. Our family saw similar success on Sunday as my 13-year old (and his 10-year old sister) got their first taste of deer hunting. It’s just as exciting for us parents to watch them enjoy being outdoors and it tastes even better to them when they make the kill (and they have to help process as well). Now these kids are bugging me to take Backfire Jim’s advice to call Team Swamp Stomp for a night hog hunt.
Awesome, way to go dad!
