What are the groups opinions on the best bang for the buck for rangefinding binoculars in the $2,000 and under range. I hunt mostly in Alaska, Texas, and South Africa.
Hmm kind of a challenging price point. If you want to save a bit more there’s the Revic BR10’s Gen 2 that I’ve seen pretty great universal praise for, but I think they run closer to $3k. If the budget is firm, here’s the ones I would go look at:
Vortex Fury 5000 (Go on sale a lot)
Leica Geovid R (These are probably better, but will come with the additional cost)
Sig is supposedly adding range finding to their image stabilizer binos currently, which could be appealing, but that’s probably a release next year. Should be interesting to see what else others recommend.
I have the Fury5000, got them used from Rokslide but if this is true
“Sig is supposedly adding range finding to their image stabilizer binos currently, which could be appealing, but that’s probably a release next year. Should be interesting to see what else others recommend.”
This would be a game changer.
Shop sales… I got my Leica Geovid Pro’s, brand new in the box last spring for $1700.(still need to figure out how to use all the technology that it incorporates w/base maps etc) Another source is BH photo video used department on there website, it is thereturns etc with full warranty,

The tract optics just come out with their laser rangefinder binocular for right at your price point and it has some interesting features especially the wind adjustment with the internal compass.
