Reasons why YouTube banned your vids in Banned Vids section?

Hi Jim, could you list, if you even know, the reasons for banning your YouTube videos in Banned Vids – Backfire? I mean, with some of them like Kyle Rittenhouse or Trump assasination attempt I can imagine why they would want to censor that topic regardless of the fact that the videos do not contain anything controversial, but cannot fathom why especially the Bipods for Long Range Shooting and Hunting would raise any eyebrows - it’s just you sitting at your desk talking about freakin’ bipods and tripods, not even a remote chance of sparking any controversy! :exploding_head:

I wish I knew. When YouTube bans a video, they don’t tell us why. We just get an email saying they censored it.

Once the algorithm flags it, SOMETIMES we can submit a video for a manual human review. Those are a roll of the dice as to whether it’ll pass or not.

So we’re always guessing. Usually I have a pretty good idea on what was wrong as patterns emerge though.

The big one for us is “brand recommendations” and “gun modification.”

Right, I was not aware of the brand recommendations limitation, that would explain the bipods thing, sort of, because the video does mention brands and their products are evaluated, although not exactly recommended per se  Strange world and a beyond sick YouTube policy not to disclose the reason… anyway, thank you for the reply and keep up the good work! :muscle:

I pay for youtube and feel guilty about this. Backfire is not the only gun channel I watch. I could try Rumble but not the same unfortunately.

Yeah but Rumble doesn’t censor content.
