Recommendations on premium 7mm Rem Mag Rifles

Hello all,
I am in the market for getting my first premium rifle. I live and hunt in Alaska and am looking for a light weight premium rifle for harvesting Moose, Caribou and any bear I may stumble upon. I am currently using a 30-06 on my moose hunts and 257 Weatherby mag on my caribou hunts. I would like the premium rifle to be chambered in a cartridge that would be well rounded for both moose and caribou. I have been narrowing down to the 7mm Rem Mag due to the over all performance balance it offers and the wide spread availability of the ammo.

I have spent quite a bit of time researching different premium rifles offered in 7mm Rem Mag and am having a difficult time locking in which brand and rifle I want to go with. Right now some of the top contenders on my list are Fierce Carbon Rival XP, Bergara B-14 Wilderness hunter and the Browning X-Bolt Mountain Pro. I wish Bergara made a 7mm Rem Mag in one of their premier rifle lines such as the Divide or canyon as the overwhelming amount of positive reviews. Ultimately I would want the bare rifle weight to be 7.5 LBS or less.

What light weight premium rifle in 7mm Rem Mag would you recommend?
What other well rounded cartridge would you recommend for moose and caribou?

Any and all input is welcome, Thank you.

I have a Fierce Mountain Reaper and it’s the best hunting rifle I’ve ever shot. Extremely accurate, compact, light, awesome features like arca and pic rails. It really is the pinnacle—to the extent that it’s better than most customs I see.

I dont own one, but If I had a good reason I would buy a Sako hunting rifle. So sweet.

Sako makes good rifles, no doubt about it.

if you’re talking about the model 85 and prior model years, if you’re looking for just a basic rifle they’re fine. However, if you want something that you can attach stuff to such as a brake, suppressor, rail, Etc, they are few and far between. Furthermore if you’re looking at barrel threading they’re almost certainly going to be some weird metric thread you’re going to have to work with.

Curious to see what the new model 90 and model 100s look like. I haven’t heard a date for when they will be showing up on the shelves yet.

Kyle, I also live and hunt in Alaska. Out of the rifles that you mentioned I really like the Bergara B-14. I have one in 300 Win Mag and it’s very accurate (first range day was hammering a 1.5 MOA piece of steel at 535 yards) and the recoil management was spot on. I mainly hunt whitetail, mule deer, Sitka Blacktail, Texas Feral hogs, etc and have used a Remington 700 Sendero in 7mm Rem Mag that I purchased in 1993. The B-14 has all of the upgrades that I had to pay more for on the 700. Caliber is great (7mm is awesome) and the B-14 is too.

p. s. - if I didn’t already have the Remington 700, the B-14 would have been in either 7mm Rem Mag or 7PRC

I have a Bergara B-14 wilderness on a Greyboe Phoenix 2 and it is an absolute tack driver out to 200 yards( that’s the farthest I have to shoot) with cheaper ammo. Can’t shoot Precision hunter for crap tho

Thank you for the recommendation. Just got back from my first hunt with the Mnt Reaper and was fortunate enough to take home a nice bull
