Recommended hunting FFP Rifle scope

Hey All, I recently ordered a seekins 7prc 22in ph3. Im researching what optic I should put on and would love some input from y’all. I’ve used the Arken EPL4 on my other hunting rifles and I really like the scope. For the price the quality is pretty incredible. However, After investing 2k in a rifle I think its time to add a higher quality scope on top. Im currently deciding between the Athlon btr gen 2 4-20, Mark 4 4.5-18, Nightforce 2-20. I want to stay with a FFP scope because I also do alot of long range shooting ( recently hit at 2400 yards with a 300prc RPR). Are there any other scopes I should be looking at? Thanks

I’ve really only had experience with a few of my mates Nightforce scopes and they all seem super clear and have good feeling adjustments. And comparing them to my leupolds they are so much better. Pretty hard to beat Nightforce

I have the athlon Helos 4-20. I also have the Element Titan 3-18. 12+ oz between the 2 favoring the Athlon. If you’re going to hunt on your feet, the weight is something to consider. The athlon is VERY clear, turrets keep zero and aren’t spongy.

For the price point, Athlon is a great option. I bought one from Jim’s store.

I have the Element Optics Nexus 5-20x50 FFP on my Sako which I use for both hunting and long range out to 1000 yards at the range. Fantastic clarity through the glass and turret repeatability has never let me down in 3 years in all climatic conditions. For the price, this is an amazing scope. Cyclops Joe did a good review on YouTube that may be of interest https://youtu.be/nyj4gVr2yA?feature=shared .
There is now a Gen II version of this scope. I got the Element Accu-Lite rings to go along with the scope which are excellent.
I note Ben has the Element Titan scope, which is the grade down, but good to get info between that version and the Athlon scope.
There is also the grade up from the Nexus, the Element Theos which depends on your budget. Hope this info helps for Element scope options to look at.

Has anyone tried the Vortex Venom 5-25x56mm?

Not the biggest fan of the Venom line, but I haven’t used that scope in particular. It’s a little heavy.

Besides illumination, how much better is the glass and light on the helos vs Argos?

Nightforce nx8 2.5-20 OR I love my vortex razor lht 4.5-22. The magnification ring can be a bit stiff, but otherwise its hard to beat for the money

Just got Bergara B-14 Squared Crest 7mm PRC and looking for hunting scope.
A store proposed to me a Predator 8 4-32x56, but for hunting here in Canada, mostly Ontario and Quebec, I don’t think I need that much range and it is also heavy with 1.7 lbs.
Any suggestion of scope?

I just got the B14 Crest Carbon in 6.5 PRC and put a Leupold Mark 4 HD 4.5-18x52 on mine and I absolutely love it!

Thank you. That is about what I though for magnification.

I have the Athlon Helos BTR 4-20x50 on my Crest Carbon 7PRC. About the same weight as Predator. I don’t think I’d like a scope much lighter than that as the 7PRC is a bit of a hammer. I like this rifle right about 9lbs unloaded.

Thanks,
That very good to know.
You think that lighter could be damaged in time with the impact of the 7PRC?
