I have a 10/22 takedown, am about to order the banish 22 for it, and I would also like to put a red dot on it–can anyone recommend something lightweight, low profile, with great battery life? thanks!
I wouldn’t even go with batteries. Try The Trijicon RMR dual illumination. It runs off fiber optics and tritium to power it. I have one and it works great. Do yourself a favor and whatever you get buy the dot in green color. You will be surprised how much better you can see it in different light shades.

Nice, I just checked out their site–they have hunting scopes too with the same technology… have you tried them?
Not yet but the military has been using them for decades. When I was down range I checked a few them the guys were carrying and they loved them.
