@backfire you’ve mentioned several times about buying cheap brass and loading it one time. What does your prep look like from opening the bag to finished load? Is the brass ready to load out of the bag or does it need any case prep before hand?
My younger brother did this with Nosler brass for his 300 UltraMag. After he had it loaded, he learned it didn’t fit in his chamber.
Iv buying cheap hornady brass since I saw jim mention it in a video. I haven’t had to do any brass work. Just Unboxed it, loaded it and shot. Haven’t had any issues. Pretty much same accuracy , velocity , etc I was getting using Peterson brass
Good to hear. That seemed to be why Jim liked the process of just loading new brass is to not have to mess with sizing and everything I just want sure if that was correct.
I have used some cheap and then again some not so cheap brass. I’ve learned that to ensure that it will fit in the chamber that it needs to be sized prior to loading. I also don’t believe in the shoot it and throw it for rifle brass. For handguns if you shoot on an indoor range it’s a one time deal so it doesn’t matter if you don’t reuse it. Handgun brass, especially for a semi auto needs to be sized or there will be issues loading.
