Safe Room suggestions

I am in the process of building a new home. I am going to have a safe room/gun room where I will keep all of my firearms. I have been looking at several different options on line and came across the Hold Up system for hanging up your guns and other shooting accessories. Can anybody speak about their experience with the Hold Up mounting system and how it has worked for them? Also, if you have any other recommendations on storing weapons in a safe room I would appreciate any input or suggestions.

The walls in my vault room are from Hold Up displays and it’s amazingly good. Very expensive but awesome.

My door is from Snapsafe (Hornady), and it has worked great. For me it seems just as good as many other brands but costs half as much. It doesn’t look fancy but works great.

Jim,
Thanks so much for the info. I will definitely look into the Snapsafe door. Most of the ones that I have been looking at are really expensive. I am also thinking seriously about using the Hold Up display system. I went back and looked at one of your you tube videos and saw how your gun room was set up and I was very impressed. It looks great ! Thanks again!

I have a Hold Up Display set.

It is pretty cool due to the very flexible configuration & types of hangers & racks.

I was just looking for a decent gun rack, and ended up getting the 6 piece walnut panel set. On that one 4’ x 3’ wall kit, I squeezed in 6-gun rack, a hook for my bow, a hook for game calls, a hook at the bottom to hold my bow case, and a shelf to hold “stuff”. That was just to put a rack in my very small home office. If I was making a safe room/gun room, I would absolutely go to the expense of that Hold Up Displays slatwall like Jim has. Attaching photo of my “walnut gun rack” I used to break up my plain white wall!
