Sako S20 and Tikka Accuracy Update?

Just catching up on the last couple of Backfire Mancast podcasts. Any update on the Sako S20 and Tikka that suddenly are having issues? My money would be on the rings/scope moving from being transported to/from the range and regular use. Mind me asking what the current setup is/was on those rifles?

Since then, we replaced the scope and rings and it made no improvement. Now I gotta bore scope it. Maybe it shot out way faster than normal?

Jim you guys now have everyone questioning the quality of their S20. Maybe Tikka’s too. Hurry up and find the fix. Lol

That is so odd. I wouldn’t think both barrels would shoot out early at the same time, but maybe? I think you mentioned the barrel touching the stock which could definitely be messing with the accuracy, but you’d think that would have shown up earlier. I wonder if you could drummer out a little bit to give it more float.

I’m totally invested in this mystery now. Haven’t been this interested in something since the guy started posting Chives everyday on Reddit.

As a Tikka owner, I too have been waiting since I heard the podcast and even re-listened to see if I missed somethings. I am also anxiously waiting to see what the fix is .

Were you going back and forth between copper/lead and forget to clean thoroughly in between again?

No. Thoroughly cleaned.

Tikka’s have great barrels but nothing lasts forever. My 30-06 started opening groups at around 2000 rounds. Still shot 1 moa so I just sold it. Will make some hunter a great and accurate rifle for many years to come as a normal hunting rifle. I have so much 30-06 ammo, both target and hunting as well as brass that I almost am committed to getting another 30-06. It will either be another Tikka T3x or maybe a Sako S20.

I know its been a pretty busy month with the accuracy testing and 1M subscription stuff so was just checking in to see if there have been any ahh hah moments in the quest to find out why the Sako S20 opened up yet?
