Savage 110 Ultralite 280 AI

$1500 is steep for it. I got mine new on gun broker for $1200.

Cheapest one I’ve seen is on gun broker. Almost $1400 before tax and transfer fee. My local dealer is charging almost $1500.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts on it. It shoots well, but the stock or action didn’t feel great. Neither made a difference from a performance perspective, but seems like you could do better for the money.

If he does pick it up, I have a new set of Hornady Custom Grade dies. I’ll give you a deal on. I had picked out the same rifle at Bass Pro a few years ago, but they messed up my order.

$1200 is a heck of a deal. They were $1200 that I saw a few years ago. I had to pay $1500 more recently. Looks like some at $1400ish now.

I have the 110 ultralight. Like many here have stated very accurate, Action is OK but it is blueprinted , trigger is ok i have shot accutriggers quite a bit so I’m familiar with them, feeding was an issue and required some manipulation of the magazine to fix but wasn’t a big deal. Im not a fan of the plastic h trigger/ magazine and bolt release mechanisms, they are cheap, the stock i actually don’t mind its somewhat adjustable but keep in mind it’s a 1400 ish dollar rifle and 1000 of that is barrel.
The barrel i have absolutely no issues with
Long firing sessions with out significant poi shift.

I have 2 carbon Rogues, and I love them both. Great value buy. I have a 6.5prc and 300wm. Both shoot sub moa with factory ammo, they look great and in my experience, their customer service is phenomenal. I have called and emailed with questions, and they always answer the phone and John Mogle has personally replied to my emails on 2 separate occasions, with thorough answers to my questions. I can’t recommend them enough.

Good to hear. I think we decided on a Fierce Rogue. Just need to decide on a twisted rouge with the titanium action or the carbon rogue. Both are about the same weight. I think the titanium is lighter and slightly cheaper, but they removed the weights from the carbon rogue on their website.

update on the CF stock I put on. I called manufacturer and they said 40 in lbs for rear screw is fine. 45 on front. I went and put 20 rounds through it and the stock feels great. It has a limbsaver recoil pad and with can on it - very pleasant to shoot even for a 7 PRC. group sizes are coming down too. Got a couple sub 1 moa groups with the smallest at .53 at 100 yds shooting 5 rnds. I thought of doing 3 but it was so nice I did 5. This is the rifle that I wiiffed on the bison in december, so things are coming around. I was shooting 180 eldm and 175 eldx. Full disclosure. with can and about 50% off of VX6, I have a bit over $4K into this rifle. I expect sub-1 groups.
