Scope for 6.5 prc

Good evening! I just bought a Seekins Precision Hit Pro M3 in 6.5 prc for long distance shooting. I have scopes narrowed down to the following:
-vortex razor hd gen 3 6-36x56 $2400
-nightforce atacr 7-35x56 $2590
-nightforce nx8 4-32x50 $1575
-leupold mark 5hd 7-35x56 $2399

Which scope would you buy?

I’d skip the vortex. Magnification and other turrets/rings are too tight for my preference so it bumps the scope around when I try to adjust.

Nightforce is great. 7-35 would be my pick for a precision/not hunting scope.

Leupold mark 5 is great. The set screws on the turret have been a major annoyance for me. Incredibly tiny and have lost some.

If Athlon Cronus is on the list, we can get you $300 off. I just bought two for myself and I like it. Athlon Cronus BTR Gen2 UHD 4.5-29x56 MIL – Backfire Don’t know that it’s as good as a Nightforce but it’s also a lot less.

I just put a Leupold Mark 4HD 4.5-18x52 on my 6.5 PRC. I’m very happy with it

NX8

  • 50mm objective not as bulky as the 56mm
  • 50mm not as high off the axis of the bore
  • 4x is better on the low end than 7x if you need to engage close up
  • 32x is more magnification than you will ever need…unless you are counting ants on a hillside at 800 yards.
  • Price for the NX8…quality optic and use the funds to do other things with the new rifle…like shoot.
    All are good options.
