Scope for Sig Cross 300 wm

Need a scope for my Sig Cross 300 wm, I want to be able to shoot out to 800 yards. I was leaning towards the Leupold VX-5HD. I am 55 and my eyes struggle. Thoughts?

VX5HD is very very tough to beat. One of the best scopes ever made. Pricey, but worth it.

What scope mounts do you like for that gun?

Also, which model of the vx5? Since i struggle to see clearly I am inclined to go with the 4x20x52

That’s my favorite option for hunting

Insteresting, coming across a “scope” topic, right after reading about the K328i 3.5-28/50 on their website. Since you mentioned you struggle with your vision, they claim it has 40% more field of view which would be perfect. But, there is a catch, I looked it up on Eurooptics and got a price shock. It is priced right up there with NF, S$B, TTeta, Zeiss, Steiner. And it comes with the optional left sided windeage or right sided windeage (Does it make any difference?) Jim, since you carry Khales you should do a review on this.

My Mule Deer rifle is a Tikka T3x 308 with a Leupold VX-5 3-15x44 and a custom CDS dial. If I had to just pick one scope for hunting, I would pick that. Plus I got mine used for only $700!

Personally, out of all my scopes I would say my Leupold is the most clear one I own, and I own more than my fair share. It beats all my Vortex, Burris, Athlon, Nikon, Sig, and probably a few more I’ve forgotten.
