Hello all, I have recently built an AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel, an AR-10 in 308, and another AR-10 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I’m torn between a couple of scopes and would like input from y’all to help me out. If you read my post about scopes in the 300 Blackout thread, you can understand why I “need help!”
The scopes of interest to me are the Maven CRS2 4-16×44 SFP and the Element Optics Helix 2-16×50 SFP HDLR. What are your thoughts?
What are you wanting to do with these guns? Most people are choosing an LPVO these days.
I am looking to hunt feral hogs and maybe whitetail or Sitka blacktail deer. I’ve thought about LPVO’s but the only experience I have with one is the SwampFox Arrowhead in a 1-6. I’m wanting a little more zoom for my old eyes.
Athlon Optics Ares has a 2.5-15x50 that FFP. No experience with it though. I have been leaning more towrads FFP for hogs since they are so erratic.
