Has anyone had any experience with the seekins ph2 in 300 prc?
Seekins is shipping me a ph2 in 7 prc right now, so we’ll see how it does.
I reviewed the element in 300 prc and liked the gun but I think 300 prc in a lightweight rifle is a bad idea. Poor recoil and accuracy.
How much of a velocity hit did that Element have in 300 PRC?
I didn’t have a chrono with me when we reviewed it.
Gotcha.
I don’t know if Seekins is putting this out in the information included with the rifle or not, but assuming that the PH2 uses the same magazine as the element for PRC cartridges ( don’t know if that’s the case. I have not seen a PH2 yet);
There’s no way to fully load the magazine in the standard method. You’re going to have to stagger them front to back with the lowest cartridge being the furthest back.
I found out out after having some trouble and having to contact Seekins directly.
That’s not the case with their guns that use the standard aics magazines.
I thought about getting a seekins ph2 because it seems like everyone that has a seekins rifle raves about how they love it. The thing I hate and think is totally annoying is that the 7 prc only comes in a 26 inch barrel. Adding a suppressor onto that just makes it super long.
They make the element which has either a 21 or 22 in Barrel if shorter barrels is what you want. It’s also a lighter rifle. It also cost about $1,000 more.
